Literacy Book Bench

Staff and students have been working incredibly hard, painting a book bench as part of a National Literacy Trust project. Their chosen theme was ‘Winnie the Pooh’ and the bench looks amazing! All of the students who have been involved in this exciting project, meet the Lord Mayor at the grand unveiling and participated in a number of workshops. If you would like to see our book bench it will be on display at Staffordshire University from the 12th April to the 30th June.

An exciting performance in the Library for Harry Potter fans. This was a great interactive experience where imagination and creativity are used to tell a story.

Speeches were given by the Lord Mayor of Stoke on Trent, Lilian Dodd, Wild in Art and a live performance from poet Nick Degg. Pupils particularly enjoyed the Poem about Crisps and another about Rubber.
