Pastoral care and student welfare

Pastoral care and student welfare at Trentham Academy

Trentham Academy is divided into four Houses, Centaur, Dragon, Phoenix and Salamander.  Each of these is led by a Progress Leader who oversees the progress of all students in their House, making sure that barriers to learning are addressed.

Students meet with their Form Tutor in vertical tutor groups (Years 7-10 together) on four days per week where any concerns can be addressed.  In the first instance, parents/carers should contact the Form Tutor if they have any concerns.

The school also has a dedicated team of pastoral staff who work with individual students and families. In addition, a number of agencies work to support individuals and groups.
